Gardening Tips
Grow onions and carrots together as companion plants to deter pests - the scent of the onions confuses carrot flies and and the smell from the carrots will confuse onion flies.
Avoid planting bulbs like crocus or daffodil in sheltered places under trees - they may not get enough water from rainfall to develop properly.
Use tea bags to start seeds growing - pierce the centre of of a tea bag, insert a seed then keep the tea bag moist until shoots or roots appear then pot on into a flower pot or peat pot.
